Build Image(yyyy-mm-dd): 2.1-rc-20091025-002 Hardware Model (on what HW this bug is uncovered): Generic Bug detailed descriptions(behavior, impact, etc) =========================================================== When there are multiple IM accounts, set the status of one account to "Available" will make all accounts **look** like Available, but other accounts didn't login actually until you really set it as Available. (Though it was shown as Available) Reproduce Steps(steps, current result, reproduce possibility) =========================================================== (1) Create multiple IM accounts. (2) After booting up, open the Status panel, all accounts should all offline. (3) Set one account (say Google Talk) as Available, all other accounts (e.g. Jabber) will be changed to Available automatically. (4) Check out the People panel, only contacts from the Google Talk will be shown. (5) Though the Status panel indicates the Jabber account was Available, those Jabber contacts will not be shown until you set the Jabber account to Available explicitly. Expected result: =========================================================== The availability of all IM accounts in the Status panel should be operated independently. Possible root cause: ===========================================================
Change the status of one account will reflect to other accounts as well. For example, set the status of one account to "Away", all other accounts will be changed to "Away" as well.
When IM status added into the status panel, QA found the behavior. I remember I mentioned this and got some answer this is caused by Empathy just support one status for all accounts. Rob and Ebassi, Could you please provide more details for this bug? Lei Y
