The computer was working properly I don't know the exact version currently
isntalled, but yesterday it stopped working, now when it boots, and get to the
start desktop screen, before it finished loading it says

I tried rebooting the laptop (the numbers between [] change everytime I boot
Rebooting and pressing f8 and on grub and changed "ro root=/dev/sda1 quiet
vga=current" for "ro root=/dev/sda1 3"

I would like to fix this without reinstalling the os any clues?
