Description From 2009-12-17 05:44:01 PST
libpoppler has different sonames in Moblin 2.0/2.1 and Ubuntu - libpoppler.so.4
and libpoppler.so.5. We've investigated them using the ABI Compliance Checker
(a tool under development) and found that these libs do contain significant
differences, so we'd suggest to drop the library from the spec now; it is not
used by any apps analyzed up to this moment, so there should be no problems
from this point of view.

Note that libpoppler-glib is the same in Moblin and Ubuntu, but on the basis of
its history I am far from thinking that it will not be subjected to change in
future. It is used by one app (gimp), but if we decide that full spec
compliance is not required for apps to be accepted for AppStore, then it is
probably better to drop this library, too.
